Cocoa Beach Woman's Club PROGRAMS When I started planning this year’s programs I realized that last year’s speakers were all men, so I decided that this year would be the year to “Celebrate Women”, and we will do this in several ways. We will hear the stories of courage, strength and accomplishment of women in our community. Each month I will highlight the accomplishments of notable GFWC clubwomen and a few lines about some other exceptional woman in history.
While researching this I was fascinated by the lives of so many women and the difference they have made in our world. These women are dynamic, intelligent, and accomplished women. They had to overcome sexism, stereotypical expectations of women, and personal obstacles, each has become a stellar example of greatness in her respective field. We will celebrate these women!
